Friday: Tubing Day.
Couldn't wait!
Chris seemed pretty excited.
Jess and I were bundled up and enjoying the ride in the back of the car.
Except Chris wasn't enjoying doing the driving.
When we woke that morning there was lots of snow all over, but we had no idea what was going on in the Mountains... but Route 9 was giving us that great example.
It was really a winter wonderland.
We stopped to gas up when we got closer to Mount Snow, Danny cleaned off the iced over wipers...
Chris took a breather.
We finally got to Mount Snow almost an hour and a half after we set out.
And still had to climb up a hill to get to the tubing place.
It was great watching the skiers.
And we took some couples pictures too.
Then we FINALLY go to go tubing.
We were all having a blast doing it, especially Chris. See him?
There was even a little escalator ramp thing to get you back up to the top - minimal effort required!
But it was not without a mishap. You see while we were going seperate, at one point all four of us decided to go tube together and link together. We must have gotten some great speed - because in Lane 3 (the Death Lane) we went so fast that Jess and Danny managed to go OVER the top and through the fence.
The flew about ten feet and landed about 4 feet away from the road, you can make it out in this photo.
But don't worry folks - THEIR OK!
And let me tell you - tubing wears you out.
We drove back through the Berkshires in Massachusetts - in order to stay out of the mountains and the snow, we got back to the hotel napped and went out to dinner later that evening.
