Vermont: Day 1

It's been awhile - I know, but I finally have all my photos ready and resized to chronicle the latest trip for all of you - that is until the next trip in two weeks, but more about that later.

We left in the morning ready for the 4-5 hour trip to the southwestern part of Vermont to the tiny town of Bennington. We had Funyuns though, so all was right with the world.

We also had some other official business - taking pictures of Flat Stanley for my little cousin Julia.

As we got further north we saw the scenery get more and more wintry.

When we got to Vermont not only was there snow...

But there were MOOSE!

Once we settled into our lovely little Best Western we immediatly set out to see what Bennington had to offer. Out first stop was the Bennington Monument.

Photobucket

The monument is tall... phallic shaped... and boring... But this is us - we make our own good time.

Even Chris was having a good time.

We all were.

We also took in some other amazing Bennington sites, including...

A covered bridge

A gun shop at an Mobil station

And Benny the Moose at the local chocolate shop!

We even share the same birthday!

When we were done seeing sights, we all went to Carmondy's that night, had lots of drink, and lots of food, we enjoyed ourselves so much that by the time we left there was a fresh layer of snow, and more to come.
