Less than a week away: Vermont

While I resize the rest of my Mexico pictures today to try to get them blogged and ready to go I thought I'd let you know of the next trip that will be chronicled on this blog.



This coming Thursday me, Danny, and our friends Jess and Chris will all be setting off for Vermont for a long weekend. We're planning on doing some snowtubing, some covered bridge seeing, cheese eating and snow shoeing in the Mecca that is Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory. We're all super excited and ready to go.

This trip originally started out as - "Lets go snow tubing for a weekend" and we were originally thinking of PA in the Pocono mountains. This quickly went out the window when we couldn't find a place to stay that we liked and nothing else to do really in the area. We then thought about going up near Lake George and found nothing else to do. Chris kept saying we should go to Vermont, and when Jess's Mom offered to come up from Williamsburg to watch their daughter - we were set and ready to go.

We'll be staying in the town of Bennington, driving to Mount Snow for tubing and up to Waterbury for ice cream!

I still am without camera so Jessica will be providing all the pictures for the trip - kudos to her, maybe I'll buy her an ice cream.

I have to start packing this weekend and get everything set aside, we barely get winter in New Jersey, it's really just like a rainy season now, so lots of scarves, socks and other warm things have to be packed, and I need to still get some thicker socks for our hiking boots.
