Cancun Mexico : Day One

Danny and I had a great last minute trip down to Cancun to visit his Aunt Mary. We were there from Wednesday to Sunday and have lots of great pictures and stories to share with everyone out there who gives a crap. I'll cronicle the trip here with some pictures and go day by day you lucky people.

It was 5am when Danny woke me up that Wednesday morning - I am NOT an early morning person. It was under 20 degrees outside.

But we were on to warmer weather during what was suppose to be the coldest week of the month. We were happily on our way to Philadelphia International Airport.

I also paid my "respect" to the Filthadelphia Eagles. (J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS)

We played in the airport as we waited for our plane to take off - Danny couldn't resist the Lego Liberty Bell. When we got on the plane, I put in my iPod and zoned out while listening to the Archers one of my favorite podcasts. Within 4 hours we were in another country - my 10th.

Soon we were in a warmer world waiting for our car to come pick us up to bring us to a waiting Aunt Mary.

But I was already in better spirits - I mean come on, I didn't even have to wear a jacket, it would be horrible if I wasn't in better spirits.

It was wonderful to see Aunt Mary, and she seemed happy to see us, even more so after Danny fixed both toilets in her house.

Danny also took this time to take some pictures throughout the condo and the view from it.

It's really a beautiful place.

Then the party started.

We walked down to the Embacadero for some predinner drinks. There we got to see some pirate ships...

I also took some time to play on the swings before I got a bit to tipsy.

We drank like fishes at the Embacadero and then made our way to downtown Cancun with the help of Luis - one of Aunt Mary's friends. La Placita is a great taco place in downtown Cancun. Unfortunately I forgot my camera but its ok, I was really to drunk to take any pictures. I will say though that the alcohol made me able to speak better Spanish, if anything in my own mind. But it did lower my inhibitions enough to be able to carry a quasi conversation and the little Mexican waiter was pretty impressed by either my Spanish or my boobs. I'll just try to pretend it's my Spanish.
